Tangerine Quartz forms when clear quartz crystals develop in mineral-rich environments. After formation, the crystals are naturally coated or stained with iron oxide, which gives them their distinctive orange to deep rust color.

The color is completely natural and varies depending on the amount of iron present.

Some crystals in this cluster also display subtle internal “rainbows” — natural light reflections created by tiny inclusions and internal fractures within the quartz.
