Mosasaurus jaw fossil with 5 intact teeth on original matrix

Mosasaurus was a large marine reptile that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 66–82 million years ago. Despite its appearance, it was not a dinosaur, but a distant relative of modern monitor lizards and snakes.

Its powerful jaws and sharp teeth made it one of the top predators of the ancient oceans.

Now exhibited in our store in Mariefred.
